Emerging from the Mexican hinterland with her posse of armored Conquistadors, Madre Monica Perez is a woman of deep faith. Like Ponce de Leon, she claims to who have set out in search of the Fountain of Youth nearly three hundred years earlier. Whether one believes these claims or not, the Faithful of Castilla are fanatically loyal to her and make for a lethal retinue. While many see the Blackhoof as an obsolete mode of transport, the Faithful have proven adept in the saddle of these temperamental automat. Together with their mechanical steeds, the Faithful of Castilla are the self-appointed defenders of the oppressed. Such a defense often brings Madre Perez and her posse to the thickest of the fighting in the Badlands.
